The best way to optimize a successful and rewarding Feng Shui experience is through a personal in-home or onsite commercial consultation. However, a variety of services dedicated to the practice of Feng Shui are offered, including:

The Residential Consultation

After gathering basic information from the client about the estate, home, apartment, condominium, or townhome, a private appointment is scheduled onsite to evaluate the building and property (allow approximately 2-3 hours for this assessment). At that time, an explanation of the life areas of the property and building, landforms, compass directions, Flying Stars and remedies for imbalances in those areas are discussed. Testing for elevated electromagnetic fields in the space, balancing the colors, fabrics, artwork, elements, and teaching the proper use of Feng Shui tools, such as mirrors, crystals, landscaping, water placement, etc., are included. Auspicious dates for applying Feng Shui adjustments are provided.

Since every person who dwells in a building is influenced differently by the energy within, a Four Pillars analysis for each person in the home is prepared. This is a vital part of the Feng Shui consultation known only to a select few professional practitioners. Floor plans are outlined with bagua life areas indicated, and a comprehensive written report of the analysis completes the consultation process.

The Commercial Consultation

Whether you run a large corporation, work out of your home, manage a retail store, oversee production facilities around the world, provide healthcare, or occupy a cubicle within a large organization, Feng Shui can benefit you. We spend the majority of our waking hours working, and are impacted by the Feng Shui of our surroundings, no matter where we are. All the services included in a home consultation are provided in a commercial consultation, with emphasis on the location of business areas, sales, employee health and productivity, logos, signs and advertising.
A Four Pillars analysis for the principals and key employees are included. The amount of time necessary for an evaluation depends on the size of the business, and the number of locations and employees.

Additional Services Provided

  • Remote Residential or Commercial Consultation. While Diane travels extensively for Feng Shui consultations, remote consultations are available via webcam, email and telephone when travel is not possible. Clients routinely provide floor plans, photographs and or video of their property with careful guidance from Diane. This is also an effective way to follow up after a consultation or when a client is considering a major renovation project or land purchase.
  • Real Estate Site Selection and Sales for residential and commercial locations. One of the most important decisions you make in selecting a parcel of land, a home or a business location is how the site will impact you, your family and your employees. Since this decision will affect you as long as you reside or work in a space, this is an ideal time to consult a professional Feng Shui consultant for advice. An authentic Feng Shui analysis of why a building may or may not attract the right buyer goes beyond "staging" a property, and should not be confused with services offering a "quick sale." If you are a realtor, real estate broker, architect or home builder, the proper Feng Shui advice can improve your success in designing, buying and selling a building or home.
  • Interior Design and Exterior Landscaping Details (residential and business) using Feng Shui principles. The placement of furniture, lighting, color schemes and textures, location of offices, healthy building guidelines, etc. will enhance the movement of ch’i and contribute to harmony in the environment. Since energy in every building is directly influenced by the land it sits upon, an examination of the property and surroundings buildings and health of the vegetation and water is included. Placement of Feng Shui cures can compensate for poor architectural details, foster creativity, enhance wealth, improve knowledge, propel careers and attract opportunities.
  • Four Pillars Analysis. This comprehensive analysis examines your personality traits, strengths, weaknesses and life path. Favorable partnerships, productive hours of the day, seasons of the year and fortunate luck periods are indicated as well. This unique and personal analysis determines elements that help bring balance to your personal surroundings and those that diminish your energy. The colors, shapes, fabric, artwork and materials that are supportive are discovered for each person, as well as the best directions to locate your front door, bed/bedroom, office, desk, chair, etc. This analysis is included in all Diane Gallin's residential and commercial Feng Shui consultations, setting her apart from most commercial practitioners. A comprehensive Chinese astrology analysis and yearly forecast is also available upon request.  Listen to Diane discussing Chinese Astrology and Four Pillars Analysis
  • Lectures, Classes and Workshops. If members of your group are interested in learning more about Feng Shui, and how to apply its principles to their own home or work environments, Diane has designed a workshop or lecture to accommodate your needs. Residential workshops often include guests bringing their own floor plans for hands-on Feng Shui applications. Corporate lectures and workshops teach employees how to enhance their own working and living environments using Feng Shui principles and healthy building guidelines. Following an explanation of the history of Feng Shui, Diane guides your group through the myriad schools of Feng Shui, teaches them how to apply various cures and enhancements (and why), followed by questions and answers. Lectures range in time from 1 to 2 hours; workshops and classes from 2 hours to one-half day.
  • Space Clearing, Groundbreaking and Blessing Ceremonies Predecessor energy is very powerful in Feng Shui and there are specific ceremonies recommended to prepare land for new construction. It is important to change the ch’i of any commercial or residential building after the property has changed hands or when moving into a new home or apartment. If you lease office or retail space or move your office into one that has been occupied by another employee, it is important to clear the energy there as well. It is imperative to adjust the energy in any building when there has been a reversal of fortune, illness or negative events.

What Form of Feng Shui is included in a Consultation?

An analysis of a residential or business property with Wind and Water Feng Shui Consulting is tailored to address the particular needs of each client. Every consultation is different, yet shares the same goal of creating positive life changes. Today there is wealth of information about Feng Shui available in books and on the internet. There are also many people who profess to be Feng Shui "masters" with little or no training. And, unfortunately, the different schools of Feng Shui often seem to contradict each other, making the process confusing at best and often counterproductive.

Diane Gallin incorporates the following disciplines into her private residential and commercial consultations:

  • Land Form Feng Shui, which uses earth topography, roads, waterways, landscape and surrounding structures to determine their impact on your building or property, and advises on ways to enhance their benefits or cure their negative influence. These land formations are known as the Black Tortoise, Green Dragon, White Tiger and Red Phoenix , or four celestial guardians.
  • Classical Five Element Feng Shui, which assesses the presence or absence of the elements Water, Wood, Fire, Earth and Metal and their transformative effect on each other, either in a productive or a controlling way. For example, placement of a water fountain in an area of a building that requires fire would be counterproductive. The strength or weakness of these same five elements is used to evaluate a person’s health in the practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture.
  • Compass School of Feng ShuiBa Zhai, which considers the facing and sitting direction of a property or business and the year the home or office was built. This information determines the compass direction and “birth date” of a building and locates areas where positive and negative energies were captured at that time. Specific enhancements and cures are recommended to cure or capitalize on these areas.
  • Black Sect Tibetan Buddhist Feng Shui, also known as Western Feng Shui, uses the positioning of the front door (the “mouth of ch’i”) and the eight sided “bagua” to evaluate 9 different life areas: Career, Knowledge, Family, Prosperity, Fame/Reputation, Health, Relationships, Children/Creativity and Helpful People/Travel. The architecture and layout of a building, furniture placement, location of doors, windows, bathrooms, offices, kitchens, stoves, fireplaces, utility closets, bedrooms, hallways and stairs/elevators all impact the flow of ch’i in a residential or business space.
  • The Four Pillars of Destiny, using the hour, day, month and year of birth as well as the exact location (longitude and latitude), this analysis determines the strength or weakness of a client’s primary element and their best personal directions ( Ming Gua ). The outcome is beneficial in deciding the best colors, shapes, design details and building directions, as well as the four best compass directions for business and home site selection, locating furniture, sleeping directions and positioning the desk. Ideal building shapes, companions and career paths are discovered.
  • Environmental Impact, in addition to natural energy associated with the movement of air and water, and energy created by subterranean water, radiation, fault lines and ley lines (geopathic stress), we are bombarded daily by man-made electrical and electromagnetic energy, which impacts our health, productivity and stress levels. It is necessary to evaluate any space you spend an abundance of time in to minimize harmful exposure. Testing for elevated EMFs and dowsing (if indicated) are included in a consultation.
